CompTIA Linux+

CompTIA Linux+ validates the skills required of an entry-level system administrator supporting Linux systems.

The new CompTIA Linux+ is intended for IT professionals who will use Linux to manage everything from cars to smartphones to servers and supercomputers, as many companies use Linux in cloud administration, cybersecurity, mobile, and web applications.

In the new CompTIA Linux+, candidates only need to pass a single exam to obtain certification. However, the new certification is no longer eligible for the LPI 2 for 1 offer.

  • CompTIA Linux+ is the only job-focused Linux certification covering the latest foundational skills required by hiring managers.

  • Unlike other certifications, the new exam includes performance-based and multiple-choice questions to identify employees who can do the job.

  • The exam covers tasks associated with all major Linux distributions, laying the groundwork for advanced knowledge specific to vendors/distributions.

CompTIA Linux+ covers common tasks of major Linux distributions, including the Linux command line, basic maintenance, installation and configuration of workstations, and networking.
