A FREE PECB course support: Preparation and Response to a Pandemic

The ongoing spread of COVID-19 has prompted businesses around the world to strategically consider their response to the outbreak.

In this context, our partner PECB has decided to help SMEs by offering them free access to the training course support: Preparation and Response to a Pandemic.

Why should you attend?

This training is designed to help participants understand and familiarize themselves with the basic concepts of pandemics, and to learn how to prepare for and respond to a global pandemic.

The second part of the course addresses pandemics and their impacts, providing information on infectious diseases, introducing common terms related to pandemics, and presenting their potential impacts.

The next three sections form the core of the course:

• Preparing for a pandemic : participants gain knowledge on how to prepare for a pandemic situation as an organization, and on the measures to take to minimize the impact on operations.
• Responding to a pandemic: Participants learn to react to a pandemic: activation of an emergency plan, working from home, social distancing.

• Communicating during a pandemic : Participants gain knowledge about:

  • Who to communicate with
  • What to communicate
  • Where to communicate
  • What means to use to communicate
  • Who is responsible for communicating

This training is based on best practices commonly used in the ISO standards and guidelines provided by several local and international organizations.
